How it works

How the Truck Driver Pay Calculator Works

Percentage of revenue

Gross pay = load revenue × pay percentage.

Per car

Gross pay = number of cars × rate per car.

Per mile

Gross pay = paid miles × rate per mile.

Every result comes from the numbers you enter. The comparison table shows each completed pay basis with its formula and marks the highest gross amount. It does not recommend a pay basis.

Gross and adjusted

Gross Pay Versus the Adjusted Amount

Gross pay is the amount a pay basis produces before anything is added or taken away. If you enter additions or deductions, the calculator also shows an adjusted amount: gross pay plus additions minus deductions. The same adjustments apply to every pay basis so the comparison stays consistent.
